1st month of being PhD student

And so today is the first month of my PhD studentship.. First month of the long journey that I will go through.

If you all ask me how do I feel during this month? I would say that it's  full of confusions and questions. I have to read many many papers related to my future research, I have to find what is missing from those research and I don't have anyone to discuss with.. except my supervisor of course.

First month of your PhD, it's like the most loneliest period of your life. You don't have any friend yet, and everything seems so strange for you, plus the accent of their English that is so frustrating to understand. However, it is the most challenging time as well. I can't say that I am enjoying that time, but I think it is normal for all PhD students to feel depressed and lonely during their early period..
